Main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze financial state of company Metrostav a.s. using methods of financial analysis. Thesis consists of two parts. Methodology and application. In them achieved results are analyzed, compared between each other not only in their structure but in time as well. Goal of this thesis is evaluating the financial state of the company and to suggest steps that might positively alter this state in the future.

Bachelor's thesis deals with the financial analysis of building enterprise Metrostav a.s in the period 2005-2009 and also focuses on the risk of possible bankruptcy of the analyzed company. The paper describes various methods and techniques of financial analysis. By their application in the analyzed enterprise financial situation of Metrostav a.s. is assessed and values of individual indicators are then compared with outcomes of enterprises in the construction industry.

As a subject of my work, I chose the financial analysis of the company Metrostav a.s., which belongs among the most known and the biggest firms in the building industry in the Czech Republic. The aim of my work is to analyse financial effectivness of the company between 2003 and 2007 and to compare it with its competition.

Cílem práce je za využítí metod finanční analýzy stanovit finanční situaci podniku Metrostav. V práci bude použita metoda absolutních a rozdílových ukazatelů, poměrových ukazatelů, bankrotních modelů. Bude vypočten ukazatel EVA a provedeno odvětvové srovnání.

Jedná se o finanční analýzu stavební firmy Metrostav a.s. Práce zkoumá společnost z pohledu managementu podniku - zajímá se zejména o vývoj a výši zisku, o majetkovou strukturu podniku a o alokaci finančních prostředků. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Vrcholem práce je analýza absolutních a relativních ukazatelů, poměrových ukazatelů, soustav ukazatelů a mezipodnikové srovnání s firmamy SSŽ a.s. a Subterrou a.s. Autor se pokouší o vlastní názory a komentáře.
